Hi!

My name is Lulu Faddis, and I'm the creator of Lucca & Lucy. I have been in the fashion industry for over 20 years. Ever since I had my son, Lucca, three years ago, I have found anything kid-related to be my new passion. I also have a four-legged daughter, Lucy, who is turning 9 this year, and whom I'm crazy in love with. Lucy has taught me so much about unconditional love and patience, and she has helped me become the mom I am today. Both Lucca and Lucy have inspired me to take a brave step and start my own kids' clothing line.

When my son Lucca, around 2.5 years old, entered the "monsters" phase, he developed bedtime anxiety due to his belief in bedroom monsters. As a mom, I understood this was a normal stage and aimed to create a secure and nurturing environment where his fears could be addressed with love and creativity. We watched Sesame Street together, emphasizing that Elmo, Grover, and Cookie Monsters were adorable and playful creatures. I repeatedly assured Lucca that these monsters, just like him, are kind, funny, sweet, and enjoy activities like singing, reading, dancing, and playing with friends. I even introduced him to Count Dracula, a clever monster who loved to count.

To encourage Lucca overcoming of his fear, I incorporated "monster-themed" activities into our daily routine, such as reading Sesame Street books and drawing various types of monsters: kind, funny, brave, and smart ones. Today, I am proud to say that this approach successfully helped him conquer his fear of bedroom monsters. As a result, I now have a collection of his drawings, which inspired the idea of turning them into t-shirts for Lucca. This is how the concept for the Lucca & Lucy brand was born.

I want to build a community on love, understanding, and imagination.  Parenting is challenging, but together, we can transform fears into opportunities for growth, empower children to embrace their imagination, and nurture their sense of wonder. Let's embark on this journey together and create a world where monsters are no longer scary, but rather cherished friends.

xoxo,

Lulu
